En una carta al fiscal general de la Nación, le notificó la decisión.
El pasado 18 de mayo, Amparo Cerón presentó su carta de renuncia al cargo de fiscal delegada ante el Tribunal de Bogotá, a partir del 1 de junio.
En la comunicación dirigida al fiscal Francisco Barbosa, señala que se aparta de sus labores de manera irrevocable.
“Me retiro con la satisfacción de haber cumplido a Dios, a Colombia y a la justicia, la responsabilidad y confianza depositadas en la gestión adelantada durante más de 30 años”, notificó.
Finalmente le deseó éxitos en los compromisos adquiridos con la Corte Suprema de Justicia.
En marzo pasado, Cerón también le envió una carta al fiscal Barbosa en la que le expresó su molestia por haberla apartado del proceso judicial de Odebrecht, el cual lideraba durante la administración de Néstor Humberto Martínez.

Además le cuestionó el hecho de no haber aceptado una reunión directa para informarle avances del caso.
