En el departamento de Huancavelica, en Perú, el alcalde del distrito de Tantará fue sorprendido por las autoridades de ese país cuando se encontraba en una reunión ingiriendo bebidas alcohólicas y violando la cuarentena decretada en todo el país.
Se trata de Jaime Rolando Urbina Torres, quien, al ver la presencia de la policía en el lugar en donde departía con unos amigos, se escondió en un ataúd sin tapa, para hacer creer que había fallecido a causa del nuevo coronavirus. Tenía puesto un tapabocas.
El hecho sucedió el pasado 18 de mayo y, según el diario El Comercio, Urbina tenía un alto grado de alicoramiento y, evidentemente, estaba ebrio. Algunos de los asistentes a la reunión también se acostaron en otros ataúdes que había en el lugar mientras la policía hacía la respectiva inspección.
Según ese medio de comunicación, el hombre nunca había demostrado su interés por tomar medidas estrictas para contrarrestar el virus. Solamente había acatado las decretadas por el Gobierno del país.
El pasado 9 de mayo, la comunidad había tenido que exigirle que conformara un comando especializado para evitar que la población se infectara con el coronavirus.
Urbina fue capturado y trasladado a la comisaria de su distrito y será judicializado por haber incumplido las normas sanitarias.
La pandemia del nuevo coronavirus ha contagiado a más de 5 millones de personas y se ha cobrado la vida de más de 328.000 en el mundo. En Perú hay más de 100.000 infectados y más de 3.000 personas han fallecido.
